treatment for social anxiety

Anxiety attack cure. You might be wondering if one exists. A drug free way to stop them.

I can tell you a drug free treatment is definitely possible. Although the word “cure” isn’t totally right. It’s not a magical pill but it will show you how to stop the attacks for good.

A motorcycle spill caused me to have panic attacks for ages after. I tried all sorts of drugs to keep them at bay. I didn’t see any benefit from the drugs but I knew anyway that any help they gave me would stop when I stopped the drugs.

This is the bad thing about drugs and panic attacks. If you even do get some benefit, it’s lost when you stop the drugs. And no doctor worth their salt will want to keep you on prolonged medication.

A worrying thought, but you will have to go ‘cold turkey’ at some point in your future. And the anxiety will be back. The attacks can be worse if you know they are just around the corner waiting to pounce.

Wouldn’t the best all round solution be a drug free social anxiety treatment of some sort? And I know there is one out there, because I use it all the time. I’ve taken back control.

I am no longer a victim waiting to be struck down at random. Well, not so much random with me because I know what triggers my attacks. If I’m in a crowd or group of about three to four people I can feel an attack starting.

Even a small group of people would set me off and have me running away, fast. In my subconscious mind I was aware that it was silly, there was no real danger. No matter, when I felt the panic rise, I was off like a jack rabbit.

I spent ages searching for a cure of some description. It was worth the wait, oh yes was it worth the wait. Strangely though none of the doctors I saw mentioned a treatment like this.

You can continue to take all manner of medication and pray something works. Or discover what I do every time I feel that little twinge of anxiety. I calmly stop it dead and carry on with what I was doing.

social anxiety treatment

What causes panic attacks? Anxiety can be caused by a number of different triggers. You may not have discovered your triggers yet.

My wife suffered panic attacks at one innocent looking junction when she drove the car. If she had to stop at that junction, bang, an attack was on her. In mere seconds she was shaking like a leaf and struggling to breath.

But your panic attacks causes could be any number of things. I reckon it’ll be a very similar thing time after time. Could be a dentists or hospital waiting room.

You may have no idea what your panic attacks causes are. Identifying them is pretty important. It can help enormously in combating the symptoms.

Spotting your trigger can be really helpful. When, not if, you get control over the anxiety. You can see if you’re improving by using these triggers as a test.

I realise I’ve got a bit ahead of things here. Bumbling on about testing and control amongst other things. You may be surprised, but glad, to learn that a drug free technique that can cure your anxiety is available.

Simple exercises you can call on when you hit a trigger and feel an attack coming on. An awful lot of people already use this technique, almost every day. Anxiety and panic attacks are a thing of the past for these people.

An important point is that these methods do not use any drugs. So you won’t have to spend money every month. And it’s important to be free of potential side effects also.

It’s a simple thing to learn these techniques off by heart. If you feel an attack looming you start using the techniques you have learned. It may not work perfectly the first time but practise does make perfect.

If we can just rewind a bit to triggers and tests. You can use your trigger to ‘almost’ bring an attack on and test your skills. Then as you get stronger you simply brush it aside.

Are you prepared to continue being a sufferer? Or would you like to discover what your panic attacks causes are and learn to control them. Click to learn how to easily control them, for ever.

Panic attacks, which incidentally are much the same as anxiety attack, will come quickly, and with a vengeance. They will strike you totally out of the blue. If you are a helpless victim of panic attacks do you wish you could magic them away? Maybe you can

Hit Like A Train

My wife had her very first (and most frightening) panic attack while she was out driving in our car. As you can imagine it could have resulted in a nasty end for us both. As soon as we knew we were safe and the initial shock had died down, shock for us both I might add. We made an appointment to see our doctor.

After the lecture that it’s all in her head we eventually got prescribed beta blockers. I say “we” because even though it was my wife having it, I was feeling like part of it all. If that makes any sense. The drugs would slow her heart rate and stop the onset of the attacks, fingers crossed.

We tentatively went out in the car again and sure enough at the same junction my wife started to feel an attack coming on. The result was a panic attack but with a calm heart rate. She described it as worse than normal as she felt both out of control and calm at the same time.

Stick The Drugs In The Trash

I drove us home and we threw the drugs into the trash. A full 9 months went by and she never drove the car once. She never had a panic attack either, which was a mixed blessing.

She was determined we couldn’t allow the situation to continue. Not driving wasn’t a long term option for her. I went on the web and did a bit of digging. We tried a few different things, with mixed results. Nothing really did the trick of stopping them completely.

We Tried ‘Em All

I came across yet another “system” that claimed to be a magic bullet. As we had tried everything we found so far we tried this also. Initial results were ok. We knew any success was because of the method and not the drugs, which she wasn’t taking. The first attempt at driving and she got the overwhelming senses of an attack coming. She put the system into gear and managed to come out unscathed. So far so good.

When we talked after, she said she still had an attack but she managed to keep it at bay. This knowledge alone boosted her confidence no end. She was sure that next time she had an attack she had the tools to halt it in its tracks, although it didn’t work out as good as that.

Easy Does It

But she did manage to decrease it effect. Each and every time she felt an attacking growing she decreased its effects. In less than a month she was able to know when an attack loomed. And more importantly stop it completely.

If panic attacks are the bane of your life you can either do nothing, or see your doctor and try some form of medication. The former won’t help you and the latter may or may not help.

Or you can take the matter into your own hands and stop these panic attacks without drugs; the answer is here at this website…

Even though a panic attack & an anxiety attack is the same thing, it doesn’t mean it isn’t terrifying all the same. I was witness to my wife suffering a panic attack while at the wheel of our car. It’s the understatement of a lifetime to say I was scared!

If you think you might be showing symptoms of anxiety attacks there’s a simple test you can do. All you do is tick either yes or no on a series of questions. Then look at the notes at the end and it will let you know whether to seek further advice.

In the anxiety test there’s a whole host of potential symptoms If you are having one or more of them then it may be in your interests to act fast. Trust me; you do not want to suffer an anxiety attack at an unsuitable moment.

If you are showing any symptoms from the anxiety test then you can follow the links to get further info on how to stop them dead before they start. It’s possible to overcome them as my wife actually uses this technique to control her attacks. However, before we came across this particular lifesaving technique she saw all manner of useless shrinks and quacks.

Probably the number 1 symptom to look out for in anxiety attacks is shortness of breath coupled with a rapid heartbeat. These symptoms usually start with no apparent reason. Then they quickly move to an almost mortifying fear of dread.

The symptoms themselves can actually make the attack worse as you are now panicking about the panic attack. This makes it much worse and very difficult to get control. If you can spot the signs early you can use the techniques to stop any attack before it even starts. You can then carry your day as normal.

Once you are confident enough to know and recognise your impending panic attack and are able to stop it dead. Then you will gain more and more confidence and the attacks will be a thing of the past.

Take the anxiety symptoms test and learn to stop them dead!
